God is Trustworthy

God is Trustworthy Prayer

My Father, it is so good to know that I can believe Your Word—that You do not lie and that You care deeply for us. I am so grateful that You are trustworthy. Your word is good. Your word is true! I can count on You to do what you say. AND You are always only a prayer away from the wisdom and help I need in all circumstances. Thank you!

Your word says, “God is not human that he should lie, not a human being, that he should change his mind, Does he speak and then not act? Does he promise and not fulfill?” – Numbers 23:19

When I was a new mom…

I was weary most of the time. And I asked God for verses to help me through that season of my life. He showed me to focus on STRENGTH:

I clung to those promises I found in the Scriptures. AND…He did not let me down. He was and is always worthy of our trust.

3 Versions of the same verse:

”As my days, so my strength shall be.”

“Sufficient for the day is the strength thereof.”

“Your strength will equal your days.”

(Deut 33:25)

When we ask Him, He will guide us to the perfect verses for our specific need. (He doesn’t call us to focus on  our weakness, but rather on HIS strength.) We can TRUST Him. In all things. At all times!

“I can do all things through Him who gives me strength.” (Philippians 4:13)

As the years pass by…

Challenges accompany the process of living life to the fullest. I am learning to find specific verses that apply to each new challenge.

He again led me to focus on His promises about STRENGTH.

“He gives power to the weak, and to those who have no might, He increases strength.” (Isaiah 40:29)

Discoveries

We are complicated creatures. As I paid more attention to my diet, I realized I was not being intentional to get enough PROTEIN. So, I make sure that for each meal, I get at least 20 grams of protein. That made a big difference for my physical strength. It began to return a little more each day.

Then, I experienced that a 1/4 t of sea salt morning and evening (with its many minerals) helps to hydrate my cells. And, I learned that when our cells are hydrated it also makes a difference in physical strength and health.

And then…what a delight to also experience the next verse in Isaiah 40. It reminded me…

“…those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles (soaring over their problems).” (Isaiah 40:30)

So, it took awhile, but I was determined to not give up. I began to walk more and longer. And I began praying and quoting Scripture to myself as I walk.

Along with the protein and water, I began to notice a big difference in endurance and energy. (We are Body, Soul and His Spirit.)

God is trustworthy because He is Truth

The Lord IS Truth! He speaks Truth. The Bible is our sword of the spirit. So we have to find the verses for our situation and swing that sword against the lies of the enemy of our soul. (I had gotten lazy and forgotten to pray Ephesians 6 beginning with verse 10, where we read about all the parts of the armor that we are wise to put on each day).

My Father, You are my constant companion. My Best Friend. Think of it: I can truthfully say that THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY is my Best Friend! Think of that! WOW!

He wants that for you, too!

Do You know Him like that? I hope you do. All you have to do is ASK HIM and it can be true for you, too!

He is tender-hearted—wanting to bless His “kids”. He cares deeply that you have the STRENGTH to carry out His plans for your life.

“Now this is the confidence we have in Him, that IF we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And IF we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.”  I John 5:14-15

“As we worship this powerful God we know, we should be encouraged in our walk with Him. We should come to know God better—His holiness, His ever-present nature, His faithfulness and truthfulness, His justice and love. By coming to know Him better, we trust Him more. By trusting Him more, we please Him. By pleasing Him, we walk with Him as Enoch did. Is there a burden you need to entrust into God’s care? Do it now. Trust Him fully and enjoy walking with Him through the ups and downs of life. – David Jeremiah

“Day-by-day, morning by morning, begin your walk with Him in the calm trust that God is at work in everything.” – Anne Ortlund

God is trustworthy. Do you have a personal relationship with Him? I hope so. Just ask! He’s waiting. He longs to hear your voice!

Until next time,
