Interested in Me.

When it seems no one cares about my latest success or that I’m sad or that I lost my way, You are always with me. Caring and loving me Thank You that I can stop wherever I am and talk to You, because You are truly and completely interested in me.”

Life. It’s all about Jesus.

Your story matters. He adores you, no matter where you are in your walk with Him right now. He knew you before you were even born. And, He actually longs for a strong, personal and intimate relationship with you. He wants to share Himself with you as well as you sharing yourself and your thoughts and concerns and joys with Him. He is REAL.

For my determined purpose is that I may know Him that I may progressively become more deeply and intimately acquainted with Him, perceiving and recognizing and understanding the wonders of His Person, more strongly and clearly.”

Philippians 3:10 (Amplified)

God truly is interested in what interests you.

A friend told me a story that I think all of us can relate to. She had taken her floor fan apart to give it a good cleaning. After finishing the task, she was putting it all back together again. She was working on one of the screws and it simply would not turn. She couldn’t tighten it. She tried a couple times and then decided to take the screw out of the hole and take a look to see if something was blocking the space. Well…wouldn’t you know it! There was ALREADY a screw in that spot. No wonder she was having trouble. Anyone relate? I know I do! Smile You know, the mark of maturity is that my friend was able to laugh of herself. She is such a dear! We had a good laugh together.

“Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He brought them out of darkness, the utter darkness, and broke away their chains.”

Psalm 107:13-14 (NIV)

What does the fan story and the above verse have to do with Jesus being interested in you and me?

Wouldn’t you like to break away any “chains” that remain? (Those things that are holding you back from your true potential as a Christ follower,))
The Psalm teaches that all we have to do is CRY OUT TO HIM in our trouble. Then, He enters the picture.

We try and try to make things work. We think we know we are doing the right things the right way. And yet, “life” isn’t working. Things are not going into place. And all the time, God is just calling us to take a closer look at the facts and the circumstances. Sometimes praying. Sometimes consulting the “instruction book” (The Bible). Sometimes doing both. Sometimes seeking counsel from another Believer who has previously walked the same path you are on.

”Then you will call on Me and go and pray to Me, and I will listen to you.”

Jeremiah 29:12

He listens because He cares about you. He is interested in everything about you. But YOU have to initiate the “connection”. He is a gentleman. He will not FORCE Himself on you.

The LORD cares about absolutely everything about you. He promises to listen when we talk to Him. And He wants that “talking” to be a daily continuous TWO WAY conversation. Whatever interests you, Interests Him. He already knows everything. But He longs for a deep authentic intimate relationship with His “children”. With you and me.

Do you have that kind of relationship with the Lord? We know that so many things are a bit nutsy and scary in the world.

All indications are that the Lord could come to get us any day. Perhaps today. As David Jeremiah would ask you right now, “Are you Rapture ready?”

Until next time…Awaiting His shout. KLU GIB
