It’s Not My Fault! Or Is It? How Does One Become a FAN of a Mass Murderer?

Her story is all over the current news cycles.
The woman who strangled her three children to death in January 2023. The case just came to trial September 2026.

It’s reported the children were 8 months, 3 years old, and 5 years old.

An expert on strangulation said it can take 3-6 minutes of constant pressure to die when strangled. So they clearly would have known what was happening.

The question before the court:
Is she criminally responsiible/criminally guilty
OR
Is she not guilty by reason of insanity”

In preparation for writing this article, I’ve listened to podcasts and news blurbs and FB posts from both sides of the argument. I watched much of the trial, though I was NOT in the courtroom, so the coverage I saw was carefully CHOSEN by those determined to INFLUENCE (one way or the other) the EMOTIONS and OPINIONS of the viewers. Here’s some of both sides of the story…

ANOTHER CASE in 1950’s. From Reddit:
Constance Fisher was released 4 years after killing her 3 children. Her husband stood by her side and restarted a family with her over the next 12 years. She also killed those 3 children. She was put away indefinitely and escaped, found drowned in a nearby river.

Charlie Kirk. Just a year ago, After Charlie Kirk’s murder, some people were actually sympathizing with the killer, saying Charlie “deserved it’. It was done in broad daylight in the middle of a campus event. What have we BECOME?

Charlie did NOT “deserve” it. Contance Fisher’s children did NOT “deserve” it. And Lindsay Clancy’s children did NOT “deserve” it.

EXACTLY! Now, let’s think of the evolving abortion downward slippery slope. From NEVER
To ONLY in case of rape or incest
To up to ?? Months
To Up to birth
To the moment of birth
To after birth
And now will we say we can kill our children just because … ??? What reasons will we come up with that makes it “ok” to murder our children?

Should a woman be able to eliminate their child through abortion or murder for ANY reason? Years ago, there was a general consensus on what was right and wrong. NOW it’s how you FEEL about it that makes it right or wrong! WHAT have we BECOME? Compassion is one thing but when the suffering person MURDERS, it is still MURDER.

We have become MONSTERS! What has happened to our humanity? We are now “the survival of the fittest! The biggest or strongest.

It sure seems as though the one that appeals to raw feelings is now the ruling class.

The Lindsay Clancy Fan Club expects no accountability. It IS good to have compassion. We know that women are designed by God to have a greater empathy. It IS good to try to understand what she was experiencing. BUT do we really believe…”I have a RIGHT to do this? I have a RIGHT to kill my children and without consequence?” Is that what we have become? Is THAT compassion?

It’s been reported that Lindsay was on antidepressants and anti-psychotic and mood stabilixzers. It is reported she was on eight different ones within a 3 week period.

She was a nurse. She knew she needed help. She had admitted herself into a mental hospital at one point, and was released. A note she wrote on her phone: “Medication stole my motherhood and my life.”

A doctor was interviewed about the symptoms Lindsay was apparently experiencing. He indicated: “Women OFTEN experience intrusive thoughts during post-partum. However…When a person stops being SCARED of intrusive thoughts, that is the time to be concerned and seek help.” He was also asked why she seemed unconcerned or emotion-less during most of the trial. He said he believed she was most likely on drugs for Mood Stabilization during the trial.

MISTRIAL CALLED on 9/4/26
The DA (District Attorney) (after the mistrial announcement) said: “Set aside feelings. She killed her children. She was aware. This is NOT about the healthcare system. “Charges: 1st degree murder. Criminals should not be treated as victims.”

SO NOW WHAT?
Medications can often be helpful. However, have we become an over-medication society? Are doctors too busy to truly investigate and get the whole picture?

It’s been said by some that her doctors should be charged with malpractice and lose their licenses. For dereliction of duty.

We’ve put doctors on the “throne” of worship rather than the Creator God who truly knows all and is the CREATOR of EVERYTHING and EVERYONE. He is our HEALER. He is compassionate for the mom going through post-postpartum issues AND He is compassionate for the children. He said “Let the children come unto Me”, when the disciples wanted to minimize their importance. He values every single person that has ever been in a womb. Lord, help us!

To strangle or not to strangle.
Is it ever justified? Do we just look the other way? Do we make excuses? People have become cold. Feelings supercede common sense. The jury was split. 11 to 1.

They have NAMES!
5 year old Cora
3 year old Dawson
8 month old Callan
They died a horrendous death at the hands of their mother! Their MOTHER!

Consider this from Benny Johnson: (FB 9/4/26)
“I don’t think women understand the damage they just did to themselves. If they’re blaming hormones for Lindsay Clancy’s murdering her own children–the most heinous act one can commit–how can any woman be trusted in any position of responsiblity? How can they be trusted as judge, or as President, or even drive a car if this is what evil hormones are capable of?

“The best way to solve this is not to blame hormones. The way to ensure this doesn’t happen again is give psycho murderers like this the death penalty.”

And from Judge William Sulliven:
“We call good evil and evil good. Evil is dismissed and called all kinds of things. We no longer have villains. Just people that are misunderstood. In the end, God will make all things right in eternity.”

Re justice: Psalm 103:6 ESV “The LORD works righteousness and justice for all who are oppressed.”

There might be a retrial. Maybe as early as September 29.

Dr. Drew says:
He is “concerned about future male/female relationships.”

Seen on social media: “Blaming your hormones for murder is like blaming testosterone for rape.”

Optics matter.
One of the reasons that there’s sympathy for her is because she is in a wheel chair.

She tried to kill herself after murdering her children. But she lived. Her children did NOT.

Dennis Prager says:
“The taking of a human life cannot be inconsequential. The punishment is not just for punishment, but to tell society how serious the offense was.”

What does GOD say?
I believe He is weeping. AND angry! He says it is better to have a mill stone tied around your neck and be thrown into the sea than to harm one of these little ones.

Apparently, Massachusetts law is different than many states. Here’s what I heard on a podcast:

There are TWO main themes that apparently guide the jury:

1. KNOWING. Did she KNOW what she was doing?
   (Oddly, apparently, this defense was made for John Hinkley and the Ronald Reagan shooting. Did he know what he was doing?
2. Did the person lack the ABILITY to control herself?

CONCLUSION: They each have a name:

My heart is heavy as I end this post. The results are still unknown as I type this. Our nation needs healing.
