Jesus is Always There

It’s tea time with Jesus, and this week I’m thankful that Jesus is always there.

My Father, one of the things I love about You is that You are always there watching over me. You are the author of my life story. You know all that concerns me. You never abandon me. Adonai, You are Lord over all creation. I know I can always count on you. No matter what happens, no matter how  tired I am, or how ill I feel, no matter how angry or lonely I feel, I can run into the arms of my loving Father, because You are always there for me.

Jesus is Always There

I can sometimes get forgetful and take my blessings for granted.

Maybe you do, too.

So, I’m looking forward to stopping by your inbox for some tea time together with you and Jesus. Each week I hope to remind you (and me) how much Jesus loves us and to share a bit of my story. I hope it will help each of us have a fresh awareness of His presence, and to notice Him working in our lives every day in every way.

Weariness & Jesus

Have you ever been so weary, you can’t think, can’t pray—with eyes too tired to even read your Bible for comfort and wisdom?

It’s been quite a month for me.

A deep cough brought on laryngitis and that brought a lack of sleep. And all that brought on a sense of frustration in the inability to muster the strength to even get dressed.

I was so glad for my secret weapon…the Scriptures I’d memorized:

  • “My God will supply all my needs…” Philippians 4:9
  • “I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength” Philippians 4:13
  • “In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths.” Proverbs 3:6
  • ”I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Marvelous are Your works.” Psalm 139:14
  • “Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:20 (NLT)

And through it all Jesus, all my life, You were there for me. Always and forever. I was alone,  but You never left my side. You reminded me to “be sure of this…”  I can count on You! I felt really icky, but I could sense Your presence with me.

My Earthly Dad

Have you ever had someone who is always there for you?

In my growing up years, that person was my Dad.

My Dad was my protector and my provider. And, wherever I was, he would show up. He was always there.

But my father died and there has never ever been another single person that cared and loved me like my Dad. There has never been anyone else that made me feel safe like he did. I miss him so much.

And yet…there is Someone BETTER

Jesus is better than anyone else ever could be.

Better even than my amazing Dad.

Maybe your Dad wasn’t like that. That’s why I write. I want you to know Jesus like I know Jesus. He is everything you need and Jesus is always there.

I want to remind you of His unconditional love for you.

There is nothing you can do to make Him love you more and nothing you can do can ever make Him love you less. He adores you and me…sinners that we are.

That’s why Easter was necessary.

We are naturally sinners, like our “relatives” Adam and Eve, and then like everyone after them. This season of the year reminds us about all that He was willing to go through to SHOW His love for you and me. All of us have sinned and deserve the penalty for that sin, but His death removed the penalty for those who seek, repent, believe and follow. But we each have to make an intentional choice to be a Christ-follower.

We each have to BELIEVE all this is true.

He was born of a virgin, He DIED on a cruel splintery cross after a horrific beating, and He rose from the dead and burst forth from that tomb.

And after His resurrection, He stayed around about 40 days and appeared to many different people, and then He ascended into Heaven. Now, He is with HIS FATHER, preparing a place for you and me to be with Him forever. Amazing!

Don’t wait.

Jesus is coming back for those who have CHOSEN to repent and believe.

He sent us the Holy Spirit as a Guide and Helper. One day, it will be worth it all because He is coming back to get those who follow after Him daily. Corrie Ten Boom said that will be the only trip that she didn’t have to pack for.

He could come back any day now.

Perhaps today!!

Don’t be left behind.

I’d love to hear from you!

What has Jesus gotten you through these last few days, weeks or years?

I’d love to hear your story…Let’s have some tea time together with Jesus…

Until next time…KLU GIB
