Jesus. Preparing a Place for Me. What Is Waiting for Us in Heaven?

When I was about 10 years old, my mother became very ill. She spent most of her time in her bed.

I remember Daddy getting Mommy pretty accessories (curtains, bedding, rugs, etc.) for their bedroom. Everything was girlie pink. She was blessed.

It was so special. So thoughtful. So loving.

But, then I expressed wanting my bedroom to be pretty like that. And my Daddy did it! (Likely at Mommy’s promptings. 🙂 ) But he got all the same accessories for my bedroom, just like hers, but mine were all baby blue color. So pretty. So special. So thoughtful! So loving!

The special place
My Daddy prepared a special place for my Mother and for me. He was really good at that in so many ways.

Every holiday, after my Mom went to be with Jesus, Daddy had a special treat at the morning breakfast table for EVERY holiday! Preparing a place for my brother and me.

It took me many more years to realize that THAT is just a small taste of what my Heavenly Father and Jesus have been preparing in Heaven for me and for all who have surrendered our hearts to Him. And trusting Him as Savior and LORD.

What about you? Do you know Him as FATHER GOD? There is only ONE WAY: JESUS is the ONLY WAY to the FATHER’S HOUSE.

His door is always open. We just have to CHOOSE to invite Him into our hearts. We just have to CHOOSE to walk through that door into His waiting arms.

In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you I go to prepare a place for you?

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and take you to myself, that where I am, you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going…
