Let’s make it BETTER this year!
In every area of our lives, it is good to stand back a bit and reassess where we are spiritually and relationally RIGHT NOW. What can be better? How can we make a difference for the better? How can we make God smile?
Since we are in the holiday season of going full speed ahead, what if this year we take a deep breath before we get in the thick of it all, and re-evaluate what we want this year to look like? To BE like?
It all makes sense
My life has changed for the better since I learned about the 4 different personality types of the Ministry Insights Leading From Your Strengths. It is truly a life-changer. A blessing. It has been a joy to learn that it all actually makes SENSE why people act the way they do. And…Why “i” act the way “I” do! 🙂
A crash course
What if, before each upcoming event, we each take the time to stop and consider each others’ God-given personality? (This book is a crash course on how to do that.)
We know to do that stopping and considering pretty much in the family setting, but what if we do this specifically for the holidays this year? I’ve put a lot of thought into that question. And I decided to create a resource for you.
Many of us go about our days kinda mindlessly going through the motions. We just want to get through the day in one piece. We just want to complete our to-do list before we climb into bed. What if we chose this year to become more OTHER focused? There could be so much more! So much more joy! And blessings.
Becoming “aware”
For instance, I think we have all rushed to holiday events without even considering that you could be a wonderful blessing to others just by being “aware” rather than the same ‘ole same ‘ole interactions? This little treasure chest of a book could be that eye-opener “tool” to make that happen.
And…the 4 weeks of Advent mini-devotions can help you to share together through a different kind of meaningful focus on Christmas.
This is a fun little book. It is a short read but jam packed useful information.
Let’s think deeper than just stocking-stuffers
Let’s brainstorm some ways to bless as many people as possible in our “orbit”.
If you love to surprise people who would least expect a gift, you could be leave one for your server at the restaurant. Or the teller at the bank. Or have a few on hand to give to those hard working people who deliver your groceries and all that “stuff” right to your door. Rain or shine, they bless you. Surprise them and bless them back!
How about, your Bible study teacher or pastor. Or the person who plows your snow.
It can be a sweet way to minister to so many weary souls and draw them into the true meaning of Christmas. AND it could be a tool to make THEIR holiday interactions with family and friends to be more joyous by learning to appreciate differences.
God didn’t make us to COMPETE with one another, but rather to COMPLETE each other.
Loving others as Christ loves us.
Can I ask you a favor?
It would bless me if you take a few precious minutes and help me by going to my Amazon site and leave a comment. That would be great! Amazon pays attention to comments and the stars you post. God bless you bunches.
