My Faithful Father

Fathers are busy. They have work to do. They travel and sometimes forget they have families. But You—God—are faithful. Always! It is comforting to know that any time of the day or night, I can trust You to be my Forever Faithful Father. You are never too busy. And, You never forget about Me. Thank You!”

Faithful always

He will not ever let you down. Even when you feel like He has. Because He IS Faithful. So…Don’t quit! Persevere. It is comforting to know that Jesus won’t allow you or me to go through anything that He will not give us the power to endure.

Psalm 100:5

“For the Lord is good and His love endures forever. His faithfulness endures through all generations.”

God is NOT Amazon Prime

Yes! There is one True God and He loves you! He wants you to talk to Him and to ASK for what you need. However, God is NOT Amazon Prime. You don’t get what you WANT when you want it. Rather, you get what you NEED. In His timing. In His way. And in the end…His way is always better than anything we could have dreamed up!

Romans 8:26

“Likewise the Spirit helps in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.”

Religion or Personal Relationship?

Jesus is currently seated next to the throne of God. But one day, He’ll sit on the throne in Israel. Pastor Jack Hibbs says the “war” has already been won through Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross and His resurrection from death. So, STAND strong. God promises perfect love casts out fear. Believe that! Look to Him for comfort and wisdom when you feel fearful.  If we get away from the Bible, we’ve lost our way. There are no grey areas. We are either in a personal relationship with our Faithful Father, thru the Lord Jesus or we are not. Pastor Hibbs calls the ART of FAITHFULNESS for Jesus followers. That “art” on our part is to believe and trust He is absolutely faithful and He promises He will see you through into His very presence.

Another “storm” story

I was in the grocery store. A storm blew in. I was in a hurry to get safely back home. I grabbed for a package of frozen chimichngas off the freezer top shelf. I dropped the bag onto the floor. They broke into pieces in the bag. Panicking, I am sad to say that I put the back on the shelf, closed the freezer door and walked away. As I pushed my cart around the store, I lost my peace. I knew I couldn’t live with myself until I did the “right thing”. I went back to the freezer, got the bag of broken, frozen chimichungas and put them in my cart. After I went through the check out lane– as I walked home– the Lord’s peace returned to me. I knew He was pleased that I had done the hard thing. I was reminded that He is the faithfulness we need at times like that. He calls us to be like Him…Faithful in doing the “right thing”.

Isaiah 63:1b

“Lord, You are my Father! You are the One who has always saved us!”

Lord, thank You that You saved me when I asked You to be my personal Savior AND Lord! THANK YOU that I’m going to Heaven and I want to take as many people with me as I can. Thank You for being my faithful Father.

Hebrews 11:5

“For He Himself has said I will never leave You nor forsake you.”

Encounter with God devotional

“Reflect gratefully on Jesus’ promise of forever faithfulness.”

Matthew 28:

“And surely I am with you always to the very end of the age.”

What about you? Do you need that extra help from the Holy Spirit to do the right thing, too? As Pastor David Jeremiah says: “Are you Rapture-ready?”

Until next time, I am…Awaiting His shout!
